Leadership Academy
The UNCW Leadership Academy is a comprehensive leadership development program designed for current and aspiring leaders. Led by experienced UNCW faculty and industry experts, the academy offers flexible learning experiences that can be customized to meet the unique needs of your organization and delivered onsite or virtually.
Organizations may complete the full Leadership Academy, begin with a foundational leadership credential, or select individual workshops (typically four hours each) to address specific leadership development priorities. Participants who successfully complete a credential level receive a UNCW Certificate of Completion and a UNCW Digital Badge recognizing their achievement.
Leadership Credential Pathway
Organizations may begin with the Foundations of Leadership credential to introduce leadership development within their workforce and establish a strong foundation in core leadership competencies. Participants may then continue their professional development through progressively advanced credential levels, with each level building upon the previous one.
- Foundations of Leadership – Foundational Level (16–20 contact hours)
- Applied Leadership – Practitioner Level (32–40 contact hours; prerequisite: Foundations of Leadership)
- Leadership Academy – Advanced Level (completion of the full leadership pathway totaling approximately 48–60 contact hours)
Individual workshops are also available à la carte and may be combined to create customized leadership development programs aligned with your organization's goals.
