Write Wilmington
Write Wilmington Spring 2026
Join us Friday mornings, 9 to 10 am EST, throughout the Fall for the ELEVENTH season of Write Wilmington!
Write Wilmington is a free, online writing initiative that was founded during the Pandemic by Associate Professor Sayantani Dasgupta. Its goal is to push our imaginations, exercise our creative muscles, and carve out time and space for writing in community with one another. Join us in the creative weeks ahead, with sessions led by esteemed writers from UNCW and the literary community beyond.
We have a new theme, YEARNING, LONGING, WISHING. We will focus on writing about desire.
Desire is at the core of why we write. How do you allow the reader to feel the desire in your work? How do you approach desires that may be difficult to write about? How do you name things, say the unsaid, look at your longing head on without losing the reader? Through innovative prompts from our seasoned instructors, learn how to use conflict and mood to bring your yearning to life on the page.
We meet on Zoom, Friday mornings from 9-10 am EST. For Fall 2026 registration, visit Write Wilmington Fall 2026 – Fill out form.
